Description
Hike through the forest and alpine meadows with views of the valley and Mount Chauffé.
There are three possible routes: from the hamlet of "Le Pré," the hamlet of "Chez les Ogay," or the hamlet of "Les Carres."
From Le Pré, take the walking trail along the banks of the Dranse toward La Chapelle d’Abondance.
At the hamlet known as “Les Carres,” follow the trail that climbs through the forest to the “Les Ouyes” chalet.
Continue along the flat trail, which will take you to the Chon chalet, then descend through an open area across the Plagne alpine pasture.
Continue your descent to the 1,012-meter elevation mark, where you’ll turn left before rejoining the trail you took on the way up.
