The children discover the fascinating world of bees, and their apprenticeship leads them to the title of convers apiculteur de l'Abbaye d'Aulps!

The first part of the workshop takes place indoors, with a theoretical introduction to the world of bees, through games and experiments. The group then moves out onto the monastic estate, first to the gardens to identify a few melliferous plants and see the bees foraging. The workshop concludes with a visit to the educational hive, which illustrates all the points made above (wax frames, guard bees, ventilator bees, recognition of drone bees...). Immersion is total, thanks to the loan of real beehives! The workshop is designed for cycles 1, 2 and 3; indoor activities are adapted to suit the grade level. By reservation only
