The Rider Pack

What is it?
Essential companion for the Pass'Portes du Soleil MTB, your rider pack gives you access to the circuit.
It will be handed to you on the day of your ride, in the resort you chose, upon presentation of your confirmation of registration or ID. In the rider pack you will find:

  • An individual snack (dry sausage, cheese and a sweet snack)
  • Your number plate and three plastic clips to fix it onto your bike
  • A "tag-it" which will be your lift pass for the day, essentiel to access the lift.

    Please keep your Pass'Portes lift pass after the event. It entitles you to a Portes du Soleil mountain bike day pass valid for the summer of 2021 from Monday 21/06 or Monday 28/06 after your Pass'Portes participation or to a Portes du Soleil day ski pass for winter 2021-2022
    Exchange this Pass'Portes pass at any Portes du Soleil lift company. It is a numbered personal lift pass. It cannot be transferred, modified or refunded.

  • Your free gift : a bagpack
  • A compulsory wristband for access to the 4 refreshment stations. 


It's always useful to carry a puncture repair kit. Please take a personnal cup as none will be distributed at the food stops.

Pass'Portes KIDS Information

For registrants to the Pass'Portes KIDS in:

  • CHATEL: Please meet your instructor at 8.30 am, in Châtel at "Pré la Joux" parking place, near "Pierre Longue" chairlift on the morning you have booked to ride.
  • MORZINE: Please meet your instructor outside in front of the tourist office in Morzine at 8.30 am on the morning you have booked to ride.

  • LES GETS: Please meet your instructor outside in front of the tourist office in Les Gets at 8.30 am on the morning you have booked to ride.

    Pick up your rider pack with your order registration and your ID
    Start to ride at 9 am till around 4 pm
    Don't forget to bring the parental authorization: Download the form here

    Please fill in the form and send the parental authorisation to the organisation for all participant under 18.

Health measures - COVID19

To face the COVID measures and restrictions imposed by the French State and the Swiss Confederation, the organization is adapting the event. The participants will be spread over 2 weekends to avoid large gatherings. The mountain bike show has been postponed to 2022.

Adaptations are taken in the format of the event, to ensure that the party takes place.

IN CASE OF STORM

In each resort, there are some safe locations to seek shelter. Please retreat to them in case of storm.
Châtel and Morgins:
- Big tent in Linga
- Underground carpark in the centre of Châtel
- Starting and arrival points of Super Châtel gondola
Morzine:
- Underground carpark, under the Tourist Office square
- Pléney Underground carpark
Les Gets:
- Tourist Office
Montriond - dLes Lindarets:
- Picnic room "Salle Hors Sac" at Les Lindarets
Champéry:
- Champéry cable car entrance hall
Les Crosets:
- Lift company cash desk: entrance hall + underground carpark

How do I get my rider pack?

Due to recent government decisions, the rider packs will have to be handed out in outdoor places, and the itinerary will take place for 99% in France. 

IMPORTANT:

  •  No rider pack will be given the day before
  •  Rider packs collection possible from 7 a.m, upon presentation of the confirmation of registration or ID.
  • End of rider pack collection: 10 am
  •  Lifts open at 7.30. a.m.
  •  Suggested start time 7.30am-9.30am from the resort you selected when you registered
  •  Lifts close at 5.45pm maximum

Starting from:

Avoriaz, Les Gets and Morzine: Please pick up your rider pack outside the tourist office of your departure station, the same morning from 7am on presentation of your registration confirmation or ID.

  • Adresses : Avoriaz : 44 Promenade du Festival, 74110 Avoriaz, France
  • Les Gets : 89 route du Front de Neige, 74260 Les Gets, France  
  • Morzine : 26 Place du Baraty, 74110 Morzine, France

The 3S Prodains cable car will be open on June 19,20,25,26,27, 2021 from 7:00 am to 10:00 am, specifically for Pass'Portes registrants departing from Avoriaz, to reach the tourist office.

Registered in Châtel : Pick up your rider pack in the village center, place de l'église, the same morning from 7am on presentation of your registration confirmation or identity card.Possibility to park for free in the underground parking of Châtel center.

Registered at the departure of Montriond-Les Lindarets :  Reception and withdrawal of the participant pack at Les Lindarets, at the supply tent, at the bottom of the chairlift "Les Lindarets" the same morning from 7am on presentation of your registration confirmation or ID card.

Registered at the departure of Morgins: Exceptionally in 2021, reception and withdrawal of the participant pack in Châtel at the Lac de Vonnes. The exact place is at the bottom of "Gabelou" and "Portes du Soleil" chairlifts ; Please come the same morning from 7 am on presentation of your registration confirmation or identity card. End of rider pack reclaim: 11 am, after that go to the Portes du Soleil office.

(Attention: different place of collection from the registered ones at the departure of Châtel center, place de l'église)
Possibility to park for free at the parking of the Gabelou and Portes du Soleil chairlifts.

Registered at the departure of Les Crosets/Switzerland: Exceptionally in 2021, delivery of a sectorial lift pass at the main ticket office of Les Crosets to take the Mossettes Switzerland chairlift - by presenting your registration confirmation voucher or ID card ; Opening at 7.30 a.m. of Mossettes Chairlift to join the route; The participant pack will be given to you by the organization, at the arrival of the Mossettes chairlift. You will have to exchange your sector pass for your participant pack. End of rider pack reclaim: 10 am, after that go to the Cookie Café restaurant.

Registered at the departure of Champéry/Switzerland: Exceptionally in 2021, a sectorial lift pass will be given to you at the cash desk of the Téléphérique de Champéry on presentation of you registration confirmation or ID card. Opening of Champéry telepherique + Mossettes chairlift Switzerland to join the route from 7.30 a.m.; The participant pack will be given to you by the organization, at the arrival of the Mossettes chairlift. You will have to exchange your sector pass for your participant pack. End of rider pack reclaim: 10 am, after that go to the Cookie Café restaurant.

ePass'Portes Information

For the ePass'Portes du Soleil tour, the starting is only from les Gets. 

Please pick up your rider pack at the tourist office in les Gets from 7am on the morning you have booked to ride. Please show your booking confirmation or your ID card.

When do the chairlifts and cable cars open and close?

They will be open from 7.30 a.m. to 5.45 p.m.during the event, on 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27th of June 2021

At what time can we start?

From 7.30a.m to 10 a.m.

Where can I stop for refreshments?

The exceptional measures in 2021 are taken by the organization. The course will be only on France.

4 refreshment points with local specialties have been planned all along the course, you will be able to access them with your bracelet (mandatory). A snack will be given to you in your Rider pack, composed of local cheese, cold cuts and sweet snacks in individual portions.

Refreshment points will be provided on your route:

  •  Châtel : place de l'office de tourisme : diots
  •  Les Lindarets : at the foot of the chairlift Les Lindarets : tartiflette
  • Morzine : in front of the tourist office : chocolate fondue
  • Les Gets : at the lake of the Schools : Barbecue.

To access the refreshment stands, please bring your own cup.

Your bike will be brought back to the Tourist Office of your starting resort:

  • Morzine -> Morzine Tourist Office
  • Les Gets -> Les Gets Tourist Office
  • Châtel -> Châtel Tourist Office

CAREFUL there are some exceptions:

  • Avoriaz and Les Lindarets -> Morzine Tourist Office
  • Champéry, Les Crosets and Morgins -> Châtel Tourist Office (with the possibility to have your bike transferred to one of these resorts, on demand)

Are you insured?

Once you're registered for the Pass'Portes MTB event, you're automatically entitled to personal insurance offered by the organizer. Please be certain to enter the full and correct names of each person that you register. You are in moutains!

shuttle time table

Free of charge bus shuttle to join some starting resort in the morning - No booking in advance. Bus shuttle only from Morzine to Avoriaz ; and from Morzine to Montriond-Les Lindarets

 
The shuttles are free of charge. They allow you to get back to your start resort in case you break your bike or if you have a small accident.

The time tables may change depending on the traffic and weather conditions.
