Trail route 27 blue: Crosets Ridges and Lakes

A beautiful loop that takes you through the mythical passages of the Portes du Soleil area, with incredible views. Your run begins with the ascent of the Mosettes chairlift to an altitude of 2,277m, from where you reach the Col des Portes de l'Hiver. From the Pointe des Mossettes, you can enjoy a 360° view of the French-Swiss Portes du Soleil ski area. The 1st kilometer down to the “Portes de l'Hiver” pass is on a gravel road. Then turn left and continue downhill on a sheep track to the Refuge de Chésery. At 1980 m altitude, the 1st lake on your route, “Lac Vert”, is one of the most beautiful excursions in the Portes du Soleil area. After skirting “Lac Vert”, the trail takes you to the 2nd lake, “Lac de Chésery”, then continues downhill on a mountain path to the “Tovassière” refreshment bar, the ideal place for a mid-course break. Set off again for a 2.6km climb on a 4x4 track. Your ascent stops at the Col des Portes du Soleil. Another 1.5km downhill on a 4x4 gravel road, then cross pastures on a narrow path. You'll reach the top of the hamlet and finish your run on asphalt to get back to your starting point.
