Description
This snowshoe hike, which starts in the centre of the village, invites you to discover the hamlets of Frogy and Fremoux, the walk goes through forests and mountain pastures with a panoramic view of the valley and the Mont de Grange.
In Auffaz, on the left side of the ski and toboggan run, heading toward the village center past the three apartment buildings, there is a small parking lot with a sign marking the starting point for ski touring.
Start the ascent toward the forest.
Continue along the edge of the forest, then cross the bridge leading into a large meadow. Cross the ski trail, then join the road further up on your right and head up into the forest along the stream, which will take you to the Vellard farm.
Take the wide path on your right until you reach the first intersection, then follow the trail straight ahead toward Frémoux-Dessus.
Passing between the houses, head into the meadow on your right to begin your descent toward Frémoux Dessous along the power line; a beautiful panoramic view of the entire valley awaits you there.
From there, follow the path on your right to rejoin the ascent route leading to Vellard and finally to Abondance.
