This trail takes you into the heart of the Vallée de la Manche, a wild valley untouched by ski lifts. Much of the route follows that of the Trail des Hauts Forts, held every August.
You'll discover some of the most beautiful trails in the Portes du Soleil: Bon Morand, the Col de Cou where you briefly cross into Swiss territory, the Arête du Vanet or the Col du Fornet, overlooking the Lac des Mines d'Or. All under the silhouette of the Hauts Forts, the highest point in the Chablais region. In summer, a shuttle bus runs from the center of Morzine to the Lac des Mines d'Or, making several stops along the way, so you can plan a retreat to shorten the end of the outing.
