The Maison du Fromage Abondance and the Chablais Geopark invite you to an evening of film screenings and discussions exploring the history and challenges facing our mountain pastures. An event combining science, passion and local heritage to celebrate a living legacy!

An evening event at the heart of Chablais pastoralism. As our region is a land of transhumance and mountain pastures par excellence, the Maison du Fromage Abondance and the UNESCO Global Geopark of Chablais are joining forces to bring you a special event on 26 May 2026 at 7 pm at the Salle des fêtes in Abondance. Organised as part of the International Year of Pastoralism and Pastures, this event invites you to take a fresh look at our mountains. Through a series of screenings and discussions with experts, we will explore together the deep-rooted history of our lands and the realities – sometimes harsh – of today’s agricultural world. Join us to celebrate this living heritage and reflect together on the future of our mountain pastures. A unique opportunity to bring together science, passion and the local landscape. Free admission. Organized by the Maison du Fromage and the Chablais Geopark.
