The "Route des Alpages" is an easy hike that takes you past mountain restaurants where you can enjoy local products on a terrace facing the Dents du Midi.
Champoussin - Délifrète - La Chaux - Les Bochasses - Champoussin
From the restaurant Le Virage, walk down the small Délifrète road to the second farm, then slightly uphill to the left onto Chemin de Popené, which will take you to the alpine chalet Ü Yeü Tsalé (no restaurant). Walk beneath the La Chaux chairlift departure point, and before reaching the farm, head up the drivable road to join Route du Jorat.
Follow this paved alpine road uphill past two mountain restaurants (La Chaux and then Les Bochasses), then continue on the drivable road to reach the upper part of the village of Champoussin, passing by the Chez Gaby 1670 Restaurant and the Gaby Farm, with its goats, cheese dairy, and small alpine museum.
You can choose to return:
-via the village road (from Gaby Farm), which passes in front of the charming Champoussin Chapel
-via the forest trail (starting under the playground at Chez Gaby 1670 restaurant ), which enters the forest and then turns left toward the village center (cross the Champeys ski lift)
Don’t miss the chance to take a break mid-way or at the end of your walk on one of the many panoramic terraces facing the Dents du Midi mountain range.
