The Bois de Lune trio invites you on a musical journey through Europe, performing melodious tunes in an enchanting setting.
The concert will be followed by a drinks reception, offering the chance to try your hand at a few simple traditional dance steps.
It was their shared passion for traditional music and dance that brought the musicians of BOIS DE LUNE together in 2013 at the Alpine music festival ‘Fefliâzhe’.
Through their encounters, they have built up a vast repertoire drawn mainly from tunes from the Alpine region, but also from pieces from other parts of France and European countries, from folk collections and original compositions.
Their music is primarily intended for dancers, alternating between melodious tunes and those filled with powerful rhythms that invite you to shake a leg: waltzes, mazurkas, scottishes, polkas, bourrées, monfarines, courantes, circle dances, jigs, reels…
At the same time, however, they have built up a repertoire for concerts in chapels, where the extraordinary acoustics enhance the sound of their various instruments, much to the delight of the audience.
Evenings are cool, so wear appropriate clothing.
