Named for the traditional wooden basket famers carried on their backs, the La Cavagne shops are your one-stop emporiums for everything homemade, farm-fresh and locally sourced.
The two shops, one in Troistorrents, the other in Champéry, overflow with delectable specialties including robust cheeses, organic fruits and vegetables, cured and smoked meats, delicious jams, crusty breads, local wines and more!
The cheeses come from our own alpine pastures, the jams are home-made, the bread is freshly baked and the meats are carefully prepared according to local tradition. If you're looking to wet your whistle, you can choose from a wide variety of superb local wines or more serious spirits. Our warm and welcoming shop offers the very best of our regional specialties, for your own table or dressed-up in a beautiful basket for a truly unique gift. The Cavagne was recently awarded the Prix Montagne by the Groupement Suisse pour les Régions de Montagne and the Aide Suisse aux Montagnards, two organizations which are active in promoting and assisting Swiss alpine farming regions.
Inaugurated in 2019, a vast cheese ageing cellar with capacity for 18,000 cheeses is visible from the store area.
A reception area where you can sample local produce can be made private (10 to 50 people) for seminars, conferences, meetings, company outings or private events (beamer, wifi available).
