This new programme will transport you to an 18th-century soirée at the Palace of Versailles. A selection of Baroque dances and arias will showcase the violin, the flute, the viola da gamba and the theorbo.
Let yourself be transported through time and history. On Sunday 28 July 2026 at 3 pm, Abondance Abbey will become the setting for an exceptional journey back to the splendour of 18th-century Versailles.
As part of the second edition of the “Du vent dans l’Abbaye” festival, organised by the La Bise des Vents association, we invite you to a musical interlude that is as refined as it is intimate. This new programme is an invitation to step through the gates of the Palace of Versailles to experience, for the duration of an afternoon, the effervescence and grace of Baroque evenings.
On the programme: a selection of Baroque dances and arias masterfully performed. The interplay between the violin, flute, viola da gamba and theorbo will reveal all the finesse and virtuosity of the composers who brought the kings’ salons to life.
