From the village center, take the road towards Chevenne, which runs alongside a pleasant stream lined with old chalets, then towards La Plagne for around 1,200 m.
A path leads through spruce forests and clearings to the Chalet de la Raille, an alpine pasture occupied in summer by herds of Abondance cows.
From here, you'll enjoy splendid views of the Cornettes de Bise, Mont Chauffé, Mont Jorat, the Tavaneuse massif, Mont de Grange and the Dents du Midi.
Return via the north combe behind Chalet de la Raille. After a steep passage (secured by a chain), you descend towards Chevenne and then the village.
Whatever your hike, remember to pack cereal bars, plenty of water, sunglasses, sunscreen, a small first-aid kit, and clothing appropriate to the season and weather forecast.
